About the Position
Job Title: Endoscopy Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: GI/Endoscopy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - No artificial nails - Passing score of 90% on orientation exam Description: The role requires providing care in an endoscopy and gastrointestinal setting. Nurses will manage a patient ratio of 1:1. Prep for endoscopy patients is expected. Sedation will not be performed by nursing staff, as anesthesia is present for all cases. Occasionally, nurses may assist with bronchoscopies. Nurses should be willing to perform tech duties if they are competent and comfortable. The facility has a cancellation policy allowing for a maximum of 4 shift cancellations during the assignment. The charting system used is EPIC. Experience in acute care is necessary.
