Job Overview
We are seeking a Company Driver for our operations based in Obetz, OH, with plans for a future terminal in the same location. This position offers the advantage of using company-owned and maintained trucks at no cost to you.
Position Details- Type: Company Driver
- Equipment: All trucks are provided and maintained by the organization.
- Travel: Generally, 2 weeks out, servicing 47 states (excluding California).
- Seasonal Considerations: We aim to avoid the Northwest states during winter months.
- Work Structure: Based on customer demand, with no dedicated routes currently available. We are actively working to establish more dedicated opportunities through our logistics sister company.
- Freight Type: Drop and hook, no touch freight.
- Equipment: 2020 or newer sleeper trucks that are well-maintained.
- Home Equipment: Drivers can take home equipment if secure parking is available.
- Detention Pay: $25 per hour after 2 hours at the facility.
- Deadhead Rates: Low mileage rates are applied for fair compensation.
- Breakdown/Maintenance Pay: $200 per day for any breakdown or maintenance while on the road, with a maximum of $1,000 per week.
- Dispatch: While dispatch is mandatory, we offer flexibility to accommodate home time and varying schedules.
- Communication: Our team is highly organized and maintains clear communication.
- Employment Type: Full-time W-2 position.
- Retirement Plan: 401(k) with company contributions.
- Health Benefits: Medical coverage through Cigna, along with vision and dental plans from Principal.
- Paid Time Off: Includes holidays and additional time off.
- Pet and Passenger Policies: Welcoming to pets and passengers.
- Holiday Pay: If working on an observed holiday, an additional $50 will be added to regular earnings.
- Minimum of 3 years of CDL A experience.
- Must be at least 25 years old.
- Age limit of 75 years or younger (due to insurance requirements).
- No more than 1 moving violation in the past 2 years on your Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- No drug test failures or criminal violations in the last 15 years.
