On-Call Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse

Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton is looking for a PRN (on-call) Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse!Summary:Administration of nursing measures; supervision, evaluation and planning of care; and communication with residents, family, and other members of the health care team to meet the total needs of the residents.Please note, the listed pay band includes the LPN pay range of $30-$35/hour and the RN pay range of $35-$42/hour. In addition to the pay listed, nurses working 2nd or 3rd shifts are eligible for a $3/hour differential. Nurses working weekends are eligible for an additional $2/hour differential.Essential Duties:Assists in resident assessment and implementation of appropriate interventionsAssists in planning of care to attain and/or maintain the highest possible level of health, independence, and mobility of the residentDelivers resident medications timely and accuratelyCommunicates with physician and other health care providers to facilitate the overall health care of the residentEncourages and maintains an open communication with resident and familiesAssists with orientation of new personnelRecords progress notes regularly to assure continuity of care and provide up-to-date information for physicians, consultants, nursing staff, and other health care providersProvides resident and family education where needed to enhance cooperation and undertaking of the care planParticipates in continuing education within and outside the facility to improve nursing skills and keep abreast of nursing developmentsOther duties as assignedQualifications:Must be a graduate of an accredited School of NursingMust hold an active Illinois Nursing License as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered NursePRN nurses at Restmor must agree to work a minimum of two, 8-hour shifts per month, with at least one of those shifts being a weekend (subject to weekend shift availability). PRN nurses will be assigned to work one summer and one winter holiday each year.Physical Demands:Walking and standing most of the day is required. Frequent stooping, stretching, bending, reaching. Occasionally required to sit, use hands/fingers. Routinely required to push/pull/lift and/or move up to 75lbs.
