Forklift Operator

Forklift Operator – 1st Shift – Abilene, KS Land Pride, a division of Great Plains Manufacturing, is seeking a 1st Shift Forklift Operator for our Abilene West facility in Abilene, KS. This position works Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays as required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide safe movement of parts to required staging areas or locations Ensure correct part identification and delivery to correct location is a must to maintain inventory accuracy Complete preventative maintenance on all equipment used Ensure paperwork from vendors is accurate Load and unload trucks Flexibility to work with other departments and operate other equipment Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment. Preferred Skills and Qualifications Must have forklift license or ability to obtain one Experience safely operating a forklift or similar equipment helpful Excellent written and verbal communication skills Understand team concepts and be a strong team player Ability to excel in fast-paced, high-pressure situations Ability to use and understand AS400 Ability to read blueprints, use tape measure, and read calipers At Great Plains Manufacturing, our people make the difference, making our company a great place to work and grow.
