Role Description This full-time, on-site Physician Assistant role is located in Dallas, TX and involves direct patient care in a chronic pain management setting. The Physician Assistant will perform comprehensive patient evaluations, obtain detailed histories, conduct physical examinations, and participate in developing treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians. Daily responsibilities include monitoring patient progress, adjusting therapies as appropriate, providing medication management under established protocols, and educating patients on treatment options, self-care strategies, and risk mitigation. The role also involves documenting encounters in the medical record, ordering and interpreting appropriate diagnostic tests, coordinating care with other healthcare professionals, and supporting practice workflows to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered services. Responsibilities The following responsibilities describe the typical duties for this role in a chronic pain management setting: Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, obtain histories, conduct physical examinations, and participate in developing treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians. Qualifications Current Physician Assistant license in the state of Texas and graduation from an accredited PA program; national certification (NCCPA) required. Clinical experience in pain management, anesthesiology, neurology, orthopedics, or primary care strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to perform thorough histories and physicals, formulate differential diagnoses, and develop evidence-based treatment plans. Proficiency in medication management, including controlled substances prescribing in compliance with state and federal regulations. Strong skills in patient education, counseling, and shared decision-making with individuals experiencing chronic pain. Comfort working in a fast-paced outpatient environment with consistent attention to safety, quality, and infection-control standards. Excellent documentation and EMR skills, with strong attention to detail and regulatory compliance. Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with a collaborative approach to working with physicians, nurses, and support staff.
