We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.Role Type: Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less). General Purpose: Prepares various food products for restaurant and banquet operations, guest consumption, and enjoyment. Essential Duties:Prepare sufficient quantities of food product in accordance to production plan or forecast needsUtilize whole food products, eliminating any wasteMaintain overall cleanliness and sanitation standards in assigned areasAlert the chef or supervisor of any equipment breakdowns, food overages, or shortages in a timely mannerRequisition inventory and receive supplies as necessary for daily productionEnsure proper storage of food items; wrap, date, and rotate food itemsIncorporate safe work practices in job performanceRegular and reliable attendancePerform other duties as requiredEducation/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Physical Demands:Frequently stands, uses hands, talks, hears, tastes, and smellsRegularly walks and reaches with hands and armsOccasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawlsRegularly lifts up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 100 poundsEnvironment/Noise:Regularly works in extreme heat (non-weather) and near moving mechanical partsOccasionally works in extreme cold (non-weather), wet or humid conditions (non-weather), near toxic or caustic chemicals, and in outdoor weatherNoise level is moderateCertificates/Licenses: Food Safety and Sanitation Training.Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences: The ability to read and speak English may be required to perform the duties of the job (e.g., the associate may be required to communicate with English-speaking customers or co-workers; manuals for the equipment the associate may use are in English).
