Job Summary / Overview

The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for the preparation, analysis, and distribution of the Company's financial statements and management reporting packages. This role ensures the timely and accurate reporting of financial results, supports internal and external audit requirements, and assists with financial analysis and reporting initiatives. The Financial Reporting Manager works closely with the Accounting Manager and Director of Accounting & Finance to provide meaningful financial information to support management decision-making.

Essential Job Functions

• Lead the preparation and coordination of consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual IFRS financial reporting packages and related management reports.
• Evaluate the financial reporting implications of complex transactions and collaborate with management to support appropriate accounting conclusions and disclosures.
• Lead and enhance financial reporting processes, reporting controls, and key internal controls to support the completeness, accuracy, and consistency of IFRS and management reporting.
• Lead the preparation and coordination of audit deliverables and serve as the primary day-to-day contact for external auditors on financial reporting matters.
• Review and analyze intercompany activity, consolidation adjustments, and key financial statement balances to support accurate and timely reporting.
• Lead the preparation of financial reporting analytics, including variance analysis of actual results against prior periods, budgets, and forecasts, and provide meaningful insights into key financial drivers, trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to financial reporting, reporting systems, consolidation processes, and close-to-report efficiencies.
• Support annual budgeting and forecasting activities by providing financial reporting expertise, historical financial analysis, variance analysis, and insights into key business and financial trends.
• Support the development, maintenance, and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to ensure alignment with IFRS and Group reporting requirements.
• Support the maintenance, enhancement, and integrity of financial reporting systems, consolidation tools, and related reporting interfaces.
• Partner with senior management and assist the Finance Director with special projects, strategic initiatives, and reporting-related matters

Qualifications

Education, Experience, and/or Training

• Bachelor’s Degree in finance, Accounting, or related field required.
• Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in Accounting or related field required.
• CPA preferred, but not required.

Special Requirements

Software

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook required.

Work Schedule

• Employees are expected to work a regular full-time schedule, either a standard 8-hour Monday through Friday schedule or a 9/80 schedule, as approved by management and based on business needs.
• Expected to be available during normal business hours as required by the position.
• May be required to work additional hours, including evenings or weekends, to meet reporting deadlines, audit requirements, and other business needs.
• Employees are expected to be available during accounting close and audit periods. Vacation during these critical reporting periods requires management prior approval.

Physical

• Ability to lift 20 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to sit for prolonged amounts of time required.
• Ability to effectively communicate through various means required.

Environmental 

• Majority of work is performed within an office environment, including office equipment – such as computers, telephones, copy machine and scanner.
• Noise levels are typically moderate.
