Job Description
- Perform thorough patient assessments, encompassing physical examinations and comprehensive reviews of medical histories.
- Assist in the evaluation and diagnosis of surgical conditions by interpreting imaging studies and laboratory results.
- Work closely with surgeons to develop and implement patient-specific surgical treatment plans.
- Provide intraoperative support by preparing operating rooms, ensuring proper patient positioning, and efficiently handling surgical instruments during procedures.
- Deliver exceptional pre-operative and post-operative care, which includes administering medications, wound care, discharge planning, and patient education.
- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Completion of clinical rotations with a surgical focus is strongly preferred.
- Current and unrestricted PA-C certification.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant.
- Strong understanding of surgical principles and sterile techniques.
- Ability to interpret diagnostic tests and contribute to complex clinical decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capacity to thrive in high-pressure situations, especially during surgical procedures.
