Crane Operator - 2nd Shift

Crane OperatorThe Crane Operator is responsible for operating a crane to distribute materials throughout the plant. Job ResponsibilitiesSets up metal fabricating equipment as needed.Performs metal fabricating duties using tools (scales, hand tools, calipers, micrometers, etc.) to include:ensuring traceable material is being usedselecting appropriate cutting equipmenthand working honeycomb materialsassembling sheet metal materialsOperates metal fabricating equipment each day according to engineering/customer specifications and requirements.Reads and interprets blueprints.Monitors equipment and performs routine maintenance as needed.Applies knowledge of assembly to perform sheet metal fabrication.Applies knowledge of proper chemical usage and disposes of all chemicals in a safe and proper manner in accordance with company policy.Maintains a clean work area on a daily basis.Performs other related duties as assigned.Records orders accordingly on software.Work Situations:Variety of duties - work in situations that involve frequent changes of tasks using different techniques, procedures, or degrees of attentiveness without loss of efficiency or composure.Dealing with people - work situations that involve interpersonal relationships in a job setting beyond giving and receiving work instructions.Making judgments and decisions - work situations that involve solving problems, making evaluations, or reaching conclusions based on subjective or objective criteria, such as the five senses, knowledge, past experiences, or factual data.Speaking/signaling - talking with or signaling people to convey or exchange information.Driving/operating - starting, stopping and controlling the actions of machines or equipment for which a course must be steered, or which must be guided, to control the movement of things or people.Requirements Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent is preferred.Good communication (written and verbal) skills and the ability to speak read and write Basic English.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.Must be a self-motivated, dependable, team-oriented person with a positive Can-Do attitude who can be effective under pressure.Ability to work as a team with other personnel assigned to the job6 months consecutive experience in production is ideal, but not requiredWillingness to work overtime.Participate in ensuring a safe work environment through promoting all company safety policies.Ability to be patient, calm and helpful with internal and external customers to resolve issues in a constructive manner.6 months Forklift Driver experience preferred, but not requiredHigh School Diploma/GED is preferred, but not requiredAbility to comprehend and implement oral instructions quickly.Ability to perform mathematical calculations and to comprehend measurementsGood eyesight or wear corrective lenses as seeing is essential to the job. Applicant must be able to have clear vision at 20 feet or more and have good depth perception to judge distance and space relationships.Ability to read a tape measure.Knowledge of compass directions.
