Buyer 1, Export Contractor-FT Professional Everett, WA, US Salary Range: $27.00 To $34.62 Hourly Summary Supports international purchasing and customer order fulfillment by coordinating quotations, supplier orders, delivery, shipping, and customer requirements. Works under supervision to ensure accurate, timely, and cost-effective fulfillment while maintaining strong customer and supplier communication. Bilingual Japanese required. Communicate with customers regarding pricing, specifications, quality, availability, delivery, and order status. Prepare RFQs, obtain and evaluate supplier quotations, and select suppliers based on price, quality, availability, and delivery requirements. Receive customer purchase orders and create, issue, and maintain supplier purchase orders. Monitor inventory and supplier delivery performance; expedite materials as needed to meet customer commitments. Maintain accurate purchasing records, including costs, delivery dates, product quality, and supplier performance. Obtain product, technical, pricing, and delivery information from suppliers in response to customer requirements. Coordinate export shipments, shipping instructions, and commercial invoices with customers, suppliers, freight forwarders, and the Export team. Resolve pricing discrepancies, rejected or defective items, and other order issues with Accounting, Quality/Inspection, suppliers, customers, and freight forwarders. Provide timely customer updates and maintain high standards of service throughout the order process. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by relevant job-related coursework or training. Minimum 1 year of international sales, purchasing, and/or customer service experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Strong written and verbal communication, organization, time-management, and customer-service skills. Ability to perform basic business calculations, including discounts, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Sound judgment, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and teamwork skills. Successful completion of required pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check. Physical Demands & Work Environment Work is primarily performed in a professional office environment and frequently requires standing, walking, sitting, talking, and hearing.
