Technical Sales Specialist

Generate and increase Tools and Equipment sales through NAPA stores and the end user accounts they service Coordinate and implement market share-driving products and programs within a defined sales territory Identify and address customer concerns through discovery and a methodical problem-solving approach Convey product information effectively Manage time and set sales priorities based on product knowledge and customer relationships Maintain strong relationships and consistent communication to promote products and services Work with store decision makers to expand business volume by identifying and converting sales opportunities Identify customer needs and collaborate with local store and distribution center teams to provide solutions Coordinate with NAPA T&E account support specialists for order entry, tracking, purchase order confirmation, and billing adjustments Identify opportunities and advise management Maintain understanding of product offerings, education, programs, warranties, and rebates Communicate with managers, vendors, and colleagues regarding sales, service, and challenges Perform periodic account reviews and update management on key progress indicators Perform other duties assigned by the director or supervisor Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field Sales management experience, preferably within the automotive aftermarket or tools and equipment industry Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals Strong leadership skills Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Ability to think strategically and execute tactically in a fast-paced environment Proficient with CRM and sales analytics tools Ability to travel up to 75% of the time Ability to sit or stand for up to 9 hours/day Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times Specific vision ability including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and ability to adjust focus Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in sales management within the automotive aftermarket, focusing on Tools and Equipment sales.
