Manufacturing Supervisor

Job Description

Day-to-Day:

• Lead a team of 10–15 hourly manufacturing employees (assembly, fabrication, welding)

• Walk the production floor to monitor operations and ensure efficiency

• Conduct daily schedule reviews and adjust resources as needed

• Coordinate staffing, training, and production priorities

• Oversee employee training including:

o LMS/corporate training

o Operational and production training updates

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lean practices

• Analyze production data and trends to improve output and efficiency

• Collaborate with cross-functional supervisors (materials, maintenance, operations)

• Ensure adherence to safety and operational standards

• Support reporting needs and act as backup leadership when required

Job Description:

This individual will lead a team within a large-scale production environment, driving efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives. They will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, aligning resources with production needs, and ensuring schedules are met while maintaining a strong team culture. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong lean manufacturing background, capable of making data-driven decisions and mentoring team members for long-term growth. Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams in manufacturing (10+ years manufacturing overall preferred)

• Experience leading diverse hourly teams in a production environment

• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement (CI)

• Data-driven mindset with experience using:

o SAP (or similar ERP systems)

o Excel for analysis

• Experience making statistical/data-based decisions

• Background in heavy manufacturing environments (metal fabrication, assembly, welding)

• Proven ability to develop and mentor team leads

• Strong change management and communication skills

• Experience with safety protocols and compliance

• Ability to report out to multiple leadership levels and step in for senior leadership when needed • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)

• Certifications in Lean / Six Sigma or related methodologies

• Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools

• Experience supporting production forecasting and balancing production gaps
