Fiber SplicerRequired Skills & Experience Must-Haves: • 3+ years of fiber optic splicing experience • Experience splicing 12-count through 864-count fiber (864 count required) • Strong fusion splicing experience with single-mode and multi-mode fiber • Experience with fiber terminations, connector installations, and jumper replacements • Hands-on OTDR testing, fiber certification testing, and light level testing • Strong troubleshooting experience identifying signal loss, damaged fiber, and connectivity issues • Ability to read splice matrices, fiber diagrams, schematics, and test documentation • Experience working in active data center environments • Valid driver's license and ability to work onsite Nice to Have Skills & Experience Plusses: • Experience supporting hyperscale or enterprise data centers • Experience with EXFO, Fluke, or similar testing equipment • OSHA 10 Certification • OSHA 30 CertificationDay-to-Day: • Perform fusion splicing on fiber ranging from 12-count to 864-count fiber • Conduct OTDR testing, fiber certification, and light-level testing • Troubleshoot and repair fiber connectivity, loss, and performance issues • Install and terminate fiber connectors and perform jumper replacements • Prepare and organize fiber within panels, cabinets, trays, enclosures, and data center infrastructure • Review splice matrices, drawings, and test documentation to ensure quality installs • Document splice records, test results, and as-built information • Support commissioning, turn-up, and validation of newly installed fiber infrastructureJob Description Insight Global is seeking a Fiber Splicer for a leading telecommunications client supporting large-scale fiber deployments in the Phoenix market. This individual will be responsible for splicing, testing, troubleshooting, and documenting fiber optic infrastructure within critical data center environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with high-count fiber, including 864-count splicing, along with hands-on OTDR testing, fiber certification, and network troubleshooting. This is an excellent contract-to-hire opportunity for a technician looking to join a growing organization with long-term career potential.Compensation: $25/hr - $35/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
