Quality Control Lab Technician I

Position: Quality Control Technician (12-Month Contract) Shift Options: A: 6 AM–2 PM – $24.00/hr; B: 2 PM–10 PM – $26.40/hr Location: Jaffrey, NH – 100% onsite Company Overview: MilliporeSigma leads in life sciences, supplying scientists and engineers with lab materials, technologies, and services to improve research and biopharmaceutical production worldwide. Job Description Entry‑level Quality Control Technician responsible for testing and tagging biopharmaceutical filtration membranes and devices, focusing on safety, quality, and productivity. Minimum Qualifications 0–1 year of work experience High school diploma or GED required Preferred Qualifications Experience in a fast‑paced laboratory or manufacturing environment Basic knowledge of EHS, ISO, cGMP, and other manufacturing regulatory requirements Basic computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office applications Reliable and self‑motivated Ability to read, follow, and understand operating procedures and documentation Physical Requirements Exposure to machinery, chemical reagents, biological materials at Biosafety Levels 1 and 2, and equipment in a laboratory environment as required 100 % standing and/or sitting for duration of shift, up to 12 hours Frequent lifting of 20–30 lbs; maximum lifting 40–50 lbs Ability to bend and twist as needed Fine‑motor skills for grasping, manipulating, and handling objects consistently and regularly Responsibilities Perform operations safely and in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, Quality and Safety Specifications, and GMP standards Support quality operations and projects under the supervision of higher‑level technicians Accurately complete documentation and entry of data as required Maintain a clean and orderly workspace Identify safety, quality, and productivity concerns proactively Report hazardous conditions or behaviors observed in the work center area and at the site Participate in sustainability efforts Work under close supervision Additional Job Duties for Temporary Workforce Lab / Area potential temp‑supported tasks: retention, changeovers, Swinnex, plate preparation (plating/dilutions) Autoclave prep, restocking, water sampling Water collection, restocking, pH & conductivity checks Bentonite preparation, limited burst support Sample prep, media prep Glassware handwashing Plate preparation Pipette checks, balance verification, dishwasher, PMs, temperature checks, media unpacking Essential Functions Work in a smoke‑free environment Manual lifting up to 20 lbs Stand for 12 hours at one time Skills Quality Control GMP (preferred 1 year experience) Manufacturing (preferred 1 year experience) Qualifications Years of experience: 0 Experience level: Entry level Equal Opportunity Employer We are an equal opportunity employer; we do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, genetic information, disability, protected veteran status, or any other legally protected group status. #J-18808-Ljbffr
