Come explore Novanta.Job TitleThis job is responsible for basic visual, dimensional, and/or functional inspection of parts.Primary ResponsibilitiesPerform basic mechanical inspection of partsCompile and maintain inspection recordsReceive customer's returns (RMA) in the ERP system.Perform inventory material transactions in the ERP system.Execute diverse tasks including inventory material transfers, coordination with the regional Customer Care teams (US, EMEA and Japan), and provide information of RMA's status.Review and prepare RMA repairs or replacements for shipping to customers.Perform cycle counting as required.Performs internal MRB rework as requiredProactively seek productivity improvement opportunities.Discuss technical problems encountered with manager, engineering staff, or purchasing staff.Ability to plan own work schedule based on material requirements and skillset possessed.General TasksStrict compliance with quality, occupational safety, and environmental regulations.Implementation of the instructions of the quality / environmental management representative and the occupational safety specialist.Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and CompetenciesOne (1) to two (2) years related experience.High school, trade school or equivalentManual dexterityAttention to detailFamiliar with data entry and basic computer skillsMust be able to communicate effectively with peers and superiorsAbility to read and interpret blueprintsProficient in the use of mechanical inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, indicators, surface plate techniques, air gage, go/no go gages, and other mechanical inspection equipmentWilling to work within the prescribed proceduresPositive attitude, willingness to work with peersDisplays a high moral and business code of conductRespectful of peers, subordinates, and supervisorsTravel RequirementsNonePhysical RequirementsMust be able to lift 35 lbs.Job is performed while sitting or standing.Salary and BenefitsThe salary for this role will range from $40,000 to $55,000 annually based on full-time employment. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to location, relevant skills, training, experience, education, etc.Certain roles may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and/or long-term incentives.
