Job Summary:
Surgical Technician / Operating Room Technician in San Diego, California. This role involves providing specialized patient care duties and supporting activities within the operating room suite. The position requires ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulations, assisting with surgical procedures, and maintaining accurate documentation to support quality patient care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour evening shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Minimum of high school education preferred; at least 3 years of experience as a scrub person in a hospital setting; valid BLS for Healthcare Providers; NRP certification required before start; strong GYN skills; OB and L&D experience preferred; SCRUBBING, PATIENT CARE, GYN SKILLS, REGULATORY COMPLIANCE, INSTRUMENT TRAY MANAGEMENT skills necessary.
• Preferred Qualifications: Approved program for Operating Room Technicians or demonstrated technical skills through on-the-job training; scrub tech certification preferred; OB and L&D experience preferred.
• Schedule: 12-hour evening shifts with 36 hours per week, starting on 07/27/2026.
• Additional Information: On-call responsibilities include 12 hours during weekends and 20 hours on weekdays within a 4-week period, with a 30-minute response time. Scheduled every other weekend; one shift per pay period may be canceled without pay. The position requires experience in GYN, L&D, and surgical instrumentation management.
