Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Registered Nurse (Psych RN) for a long-term assignment at Summa Health in Akron, Ohio. This position supports a geropsychiatric unit and requires a strong background in psychiatric nursing, excellent clinical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic inpatient environment.

Requirements

• Active RN license

• 2+ years of RN experience

• Psychiatric nursing experience

• Experience working with geropsychiatric patients preferred

• BLS certification required

• CPI Blue Card certification from Crisis Prevention Institute required

• Must be proficient in drawing blood

• Epic experience within the past 1 year required

• Epic experience must be clearly listed on your resume, including where you most recently used Epic

• Must have graduated from an accredited nursing program through ACEN or CCNE

• Must be willing to float as required

• Strong clinical assessment and patient-care skills
