RTO requests submitted after initial submission will not be considered or approved. \n Unit / Facility Details\n \n Department: Emergency Nursing \n Department Type: Freestanding Emergency Department \n Beds: 21–30 \n Typical Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4 \n Patient Population: Infant, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric \n Charting: Cerner \n Scrub Color: Navy Blue \n Float: No floating outside of the Emergency Department. Staff may occasionally provide additional support in CED or WED. \n Common Diagnoses/Treatments: All types of emergency presentations, with limited EMS presentations \n Special Procedures / Clinical Experience\n \n Moderate sedation \n Stroke codes \n Cardiac/Heart codes \n Trauma codes \n Cardiac arrest \n Respiratory arrest \n External pacing \n Overtime & Break Policy\n \n Travel RNs are not authorized to pick up overtime shifts and overtime will not be approved by ChristianaCare. \n Incidental overtime is also not authorized or approved for travel RNs. \n Travel RNs are expected to complete their shifts on time and provide timely handoff to the charge or oncoming nurse, particularly when involved in a code, RRT, or significant event near shift change. \n All staff are expected to take their assigned meal breaks.
