This role oversees all day-to-day field operations for commercial building envelope projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to high quality standards. The superintendent coordinates subcontractors, manages site activities, and maintains accurate project documentation while supporting significant professional growth opportunities on complex, high-profile projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage all day-to-day construction activities on site for commercial building envelope projects.
• Oversee and coordinate subcontractors, including selection, scheduling, and performance management.
• Maintain and manage the overall construction schedule, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
• Prepare and submit detailed daily reports documenting work performed, manpower, equipment, and site conditions.
• Monitor and enforce site safety standards in alignment with OSHA requirements and company policies.
• Support budget management by monitoring field costs and communicating variances to project leadership.
• Ensure exterior construction work meets project specifications, quality standards, and building envelope requirements.
• Use Procore to track project progress, documentation, and communication as required.
• Collaborate with project teams to resolve field issues, coordinate changes, and keep stakeholders informed.
• Provide on-site leadership, promote a positive safety culture, and maintain a well-organized job site.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in commercial construction specializing in exterior construction and building envelope work.
• Proven experience managing all day-to-day on-site construction activities.
• Experience in subcontractor selection, coordination, and management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain construction schedules.
• Experience preparing accurate and timely daily reports.
• Solid understanding of site safety practices and OSHA requirements.
• Proficiency using Procore or similar construction management software.
• Ability to oversee budget-related activities at the field level.
• Strong communication, leadership, and coordination skills in a field environment.

Work Environment

This is a field-based role working full time on active construction sites. The superintendent spends the majority of time on site overseeing daily operations, coordinating subcontractors, and monitoring safety and progress. The work environment involves typical commercial construction conditions, including exposure to outdoor weather, active equipment, and building activities, with a strong emphasis on maintaining a safe and organized job site.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elkridge, MD.

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Elkridge,MD.
