Area Sales Manager, Personal Care Division (Chemical Manufacturing)

Location: Remote (prefer candidates living in New Jersey)

Compensation: $110K–$1125K (some flexibility depending on qualifications)

Position Summary

We're hiring an Area Sales Manager – North America (Remote) to drive growth across our cosmetic ingredients portfolio. You'll own the commercial strategy, manage distributor and direct accounts, and lead promotional efforts across the region. This is a high-impact, autonomous role requiring strong scientific knowledge, customer-centric thinking, and the ability to translate complex ingredient benefits into sales success.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and sell cosmetic bio-based ingredients (green glycols, actives, floral waters, etc.)
• Develop and maintain relationships with formulators, marketers, buyers, and microbiologists
• Conduct webinars, seminars, and represent the company at trade shows
• Build and execute sales strategies in collaboration with global teams
• Deliver regular reporting on pipeline, forecasting, and market insights

Qualifications

· Master's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or biology, ideally with a cosmetics focus

· 3–5 years of experience selling cosmetic ingredients in North America

· Strong knowledge of technical and marketing aspects of formulations

· Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills

· Highly self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset

· Willingness to travel 50%+ (domestic and international)

· Must be based in the U.S.; New Jersey preferred

· Driver's license required
