Registered Nurse – RN (PRN) – Maryland This position is currently accepting applications. Responsibilities Participate in the development and implementation of the service plan and initial assessments for clients receiving nursing services to ensure proper placement of staff Regularly assess the needs of clients receiving nursing services and complete service plans, documenting observation of the patient’s condition at each visit Provide ambulation, transfer, positioning of clients; observation and assessments; wound care; catheter care; ventilator care; IV therapy; lab blood draws; injections; diabetic care/teaching; colostomy care/teaching; tracheostomy care; internal/parenteral feeding care/teaching; post‑op/recovery care; medication administration teaching and monitoring Coordinate with physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other individuals in the patient’s care plan Educate patients and families on proper home health care procedures and strategies Recommend tools or devices that may improve quality of life for patients Conduct regular evaluations and reevaluations of the patient’s nursing needs (at least every 60 days) Take verbal orders Make referrals to other disciplines as indicated by patient assessment Conduct training as needed including medication administration, new staff orientation, and in‑service training Supervise CNAs, PCAs, and nurses’ performance and management of records Investigate incidents, grievances, and accidents Communicate timely and effectively with agency regarding changes in visit assignments, dates of scheduled visits, schedule changes, and patient care to ensure patient needs are met Maintain training requirements as regulated by the governing body Be prepared to service or live near the following areas: Anne Arundel, Cecil, Harford, Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Prince George Counties Qualifications 2+ years of work experience Basic health and tuberculosis screening Participation in quality improvement program Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Current RN licensure for state of practice; meet recurring training requirements Current First Aid/CPR certification (American Heart Association) Ability to think and work independently and with direction; communicate with staff members in a fast‑paced and sometimes stressful environment Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation Job Details Employment Type: Full‑Time/Part‑Time PRN Pay Rate: $45.00 to $50.00 per hour Required Travel: Cecil, Harford, Baltimore, Prince George, Anne Arundel Counties #J-18808-Ljbffr
