Mechanical Engineer – HVAC Design Simes and Rosch Engineering Simes and Rosch Engineering is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to lead HVAC design across commercial, municipal, and government projects. What you'll do: Design HVAC systems from concept through construction documents for commercial, municipal, and government clients Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and ductwork/piping layout Coordinate with architects, structural, and electrical engineers throughout project delivery Review and oversee construction administration, including RFI responses and submittal review Ensure designs meet applicable codes (ASHRAE, IECC, local jurisdiction requirements) and project specifications Support proposal development and scope estimation for new projects as needed What you bring: Minimum 5 years of experience designing HVAC systems, with direct experience in commercial, municipal, and/or government sectors Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred Strong working knowledge of HVAC design software (e.g., Trane TRACE, Carrier HAP, or similar load calculation tools) Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit MEP Solid understanding of mechanical codes and energy standards Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal oversight Strong communication skills for client-facing and cross-discipline coordination Why this role: Simes and Rosch Engineering offers the opportunity to work on a varied project mix spanning public and private sector work, with direct client exposure and room to grow into more senior project leadership. #J-18808-Ljbffr Career-Collective
