Details Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting focused on lower acuity cardiac patients Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30) Weekdays and some weekends required with rotating holiday coverage Estimated patient ratio of 1:3 to 1:4 Required to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity Uses Epic EMR system Requirements Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred Minimum 1 year of PCU experience required Epic EMR experience required IV start and telemetry skills required Cardiac experience preferred Prior travel nursing experience required Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a manager, director, or supervisor; charge RN acceptable for second reference; no coworker references accepted Additional Information Provide bedside care to lower acuity cardiac patients requiring telemetry monitoring Perform IV therapy, line management, and cardiac monitoring with dysrhythmia interpretation Cardiovascular skills such as sheath removal and pre/post cardiac surgery care are a plus Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly after signing contract, as this is time-sensitive Local candidates accepted at the same rate Former employees eligible for travel assignment after 6 months away from the facility Current employees of the health system are not eligible for travel assignments at this location RTO must be submitted with application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less American Traveler Job ID P-769561.
