Quality Auditor

Quality Auditor Location: Columbia, SC. Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, the Quality Auditor performs inspection and quality check reports. Typical Day Audit processes, test and inspect products, and develop, compile and evaluate statistical data to define and maintain quality and reliability of products. Work from engineering drawings, specifications, schematics, diagrams, written descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform complex engineering testing, checkout, First Article Inspection, root cause research, internal corrective actions and supplier correction actions. Select processes to be audited from primarily the manufacturing areas and check for a variety of features, including ESD (electro-static discharge) and handling practices, documentation, training and process integrity. Perform receiving inspection and develop Incoming Quality Control Plans. SCRAP disposition at MRB in less than 24 hours. Use Microsoft Office, including Excel charts and pivot tables and PowerPoint presentations. Record audit data, applying statistical quality control procedures. Evaluate data and write reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards. Provide factory hold up to identify and resolve issues associated with purchased parts, materials and manufacturing. Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards, programs or reports to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability. Download quality information from quality system for QA reports. Perform out‑of‑box audits (OBA) as required. Assure that Customer implementation activities are in place. Validate that the tooling and gauges are working properly. Send gauges out for calibration and maintain calibration records. Experience Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Demonstrates advanced functional skills, which may be used to conduct on-the-job training and/or lead or guide other employees.
