VP - Fund Finance

A growing investment platform is launching a new registered fund structure designed to provide scalable access to the high-net-worth market. The Fund Finance team is seeking a Vice President to lead the accounting, valuation, and financial reporting functions for these '34 Act Registered Funds, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data from daily portfolio activity through public SEC filings.

This role offers the opportunity to develop deep expertise in a complex, high-growth product and play a key role in public reporting, audit oversight, and process improvement within a collaborative fund finance environment. The position is located in Salt Lake City, UT.

Responsibilities

• Review monthly NAV packages prepared by third-party fund administrators
• Reconcile cash, positions, and activity between administrators and custodians
• Validate portfolio valuations in coordination with GPs and independent valuation advisors
• Recalculate management and incentive fees to verify accuracy
• Review and approve fund-level expenses and accruals
• Assist with quarterly and annual SEC filings (Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K)
• Serve as primary liaison with external auditors and manage the annual audit process
• Identify and implement process improvements within fund finance operations

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in fund accounting and/or public accounting (alternatives focus preferred)
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP investment company accounting
• Experience with registered funds, including '40 Act and '34 Act structures
• Familiarity with SEC reporting requirements (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K)
• Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage complex financial data
• Strong collaboration skills with internal teams and external service providers
• CPA preferred but not required

Compensation & Work Model
Base salary range of $125,000-$155,000, plus bonus, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package. Hybrid work schedule with in-office Monday-Thursday and remote flexibility on Fridays.
