Clinical Pharmacist - Outpatient Pharmacy Float (part-time)

City/State: Norfolk, VA Work Shift: Rotating Overview Sentara is hiring a Part‑Time Clinical Pharmacist to fill in at the Outpatient Pharmacies located within our hospitals in Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Hampton, Williamsburg, and Suffolk. Location Resource Float based on need to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, Norfolk, VA; Sentara Leigh Hospital, Norfolk, VA; Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital, Virginia Beach, VA; Sentara Princess Anne Hospital, Virginia Beach, VA; Sentara Careplex, Hampton, VA; Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center, Williamsburg, VA; Sentara Obici Hospital, Suffolk, VA. Status Part‑Time Shift Rotating (8 or 10 hour shifts depending on location) Hours Between 8:15 am and 7:15 pm depending on location Weekends Saturday only at Norfolk General 9 am‑3 pm Holiday Rotation Hours and location may vary to meet the needs of the pharmacy, based on the greatest need for coverage. Schedules are typically assigned on a monthly basis. Availability to travel and fill in shifts at all 7 locations based on greatest need is required. Will receive mileage calculated from Norfolk General to other locations. All sites are 10‑hour shifts except Obici, Norfolk General, and Williamsburg which are 8‑hour shifts. Responsibilities Demonstrates the ability to work in areas of pharmacy practice competently and independently Manages patient drug therapy in accordance with applicable clinical practice standards Assures the appropriateness of all provider medication orders in maintaining a high level of patient care and safety Maintains current knowledge of medication use and disease states applicable to their area of practice Serves as the primary resource for drug information and education Provides in‑depth patient counseling when required Participates in the training of new employees as assigned Assumes local responsibility and ownership for assigned tasks Consistently follows policies and procedures Continually seeks out additional training opportunities and stays abreast of new and changing information for assigned areas Demonstrates superior customer service, effective communication, decision‑making, and organization to ensure efficient job performance and success Serves as a role model in the following areas: professionalism, collaboration, and teamwork.
