Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Trauma Surgery Duration: Full-Time Shift: Varied Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty License: Valid Nursing License Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred Must-Have: - Experience in high acuity trauma care. - Proficiency in EPIC electronic health records. - Ability to work flexible shifts without block scheduling. Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a high acuity floor specializing in trauma surgery. The patient population includes individuals with surgical needs, gunshot wounds, quadriplegia, and paraplegia. Nursing Support Technicians and phlebotomy staff are available to support nursing activities. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 5:1. A unit secretary is present during the night shift. A nurse handoff process is established between the emergency department and the admitting unit. Candidates must be committed to providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. This position requires excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to patient care.
