Desktop Support Technician

Kforce's client in Houston, TX is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide hands‑on support for computer hardware, software, and end‑user technology needs. This role will assist with equipment setup, troubleshooting, inventory management, and ticket resolution while delivering excellent customer service to internal users. Responsibilities Provide desktop and laptop hardware support and troubleshooting Install, configure, and maintain PC hardware and peripherals Manage and resolve technical issues through a ticketing system (ServiceNow preferred) Coordinate hardware repairs and vendor support when necessary Perform device deployments, upgrades, and data migrations Maintain accurate inventory of IT equipment and assets Assist with workstation setups and technology‑related requests Follow company security, safety, and software licensing procedures Document technical issues, resolutions, and inventory updates Provide responsive customer support and technical guidance to users Requirements A+ Certification or equivalent technical experience preferred 1-3 years of desktop support, help desk, or related IT support experience preferred Experience using ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems Strong PC hardware troubleshooting and repair skills Experience with inventory and asset management Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop technologies Excellent organizational, communication, and time‑management skills Customer‑focused approach with strong problem‑solving abilities The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion until paid and may be modified in accordance with the law. This job is not eligible for bonuses, incentives or commissions.
