Kinesiology Adjunct Assistant Professor

Position Summary The Los Rios Community College District is seeking qualified candidates for this part-time, temporary (Adjunct) faculty position. The adjunct faculty member shall be responsible for teaching assigned classes under supervision, helping students master course content, assessing learning outcomes, maintaining up-to-date knowledge, continuing professional development, utilizing technology, maintaining professional conduct, assisting with curriculum development, serving on committees, and other responsibilities as assigned. Position Salary Information Initial maximum salary placement is based on academic degree, upper/graduate level units earned, and related professional experience per the Los Rios College Federation of Teachers Contract. Typical Duties The instructional assignment may include, but is not limited to, teaching the following courses: KINES 300 Introduction to Kinesiology FITNS 304 Cardio Circuit FITNS 380 Circuit Weight Training FITNS 390 Basic Yoga Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree in kinesiology, physical education, exercise science, education with an emphasis in physical education, kinesiology, physiology of exercise or adaptive physical education OR Bachelor’s degree in any of the above and Master’s degree in any life science, dance, physiology, health education, recreation administration or physical therapy OR equivalent. All degrees must be from an accredited institution completed by time of hire.
