Responsibilities: Assist occupational therapists in planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment plans for residents with physical, emotional, or cognitive impairments Conduct occupational therapy assessments and interventions to improve residents' daily living skills, mobility, and cognitive function Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address residents' specific needs and goals Collaborate with the occupational therapy team to ensure seamless transitions and coordinated care Provide education and support to residents, families, and healthcare staff on occupational therapy techniques and strategies Participate in quality improvement initiatives to promote optimal resident outcomes and staff development Requirements: Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant required Completion of an accredited OTA program Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification required Minimum of 0 years of experience in occupational therapy or a related field (new graduates welcome to apply) Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment with a focus on providing exceptional resident care Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare staff Compassionate and empathetic approach to caring for residents with diverse needs and backgrounds Why Join Our Team: At Award Care at Big Bend, we offer a dynamic and supportive work environment that values the contributions of our team members.
