The Ambulatory Stress Nurse at BJC HealthCare delivers safe, high-quality cardiac stress testing and monitoring in an outpatient setting. This role includes preparing patients, performing exercise and pharmacologic stress tests, monitoring ECGs and vital signs, responding to emergent changes, and documenting results in the EHR. The nurse educates patients on procedures, risk factor modification, and follow-up care while collaborating with cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams to support BJC’s mission of compassionate, innovative care and continuous improvement in patient outcomes.
