Warehouse Associate

Randstad is looking to hire experienced Warehouse Production Associates to cover a wide range of tasks depending on the industry for multiple companies across CT!! Responsibilities

• Safely offloading incoming shipments from trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or by hand.

• Checking incoming goods for damages, defects, or missing items against the bill of lading.

• Moving received goods to their designated storage locations (shelves, racks, or bins).

• Participating in periodic cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure system accuracy.

• Following FIFO (First In, First Out) or LIFO (Last In, First Out) practices, especially for perishable or dated goods.

• Locating and retrieving items from warehouse shelves based on picking lists or RF scanner instructions.

• Verifying picked items for accuracy, securely wrapping/boxing them, and applying shipping labels.

• Assembling individual items into ready-to-ship kits or bundles if required.

• Loading outbound shipments onto delivery trucks securely to prevent shifting or damage during transit.

• Sweeping floors, disposing of cardboard/shrink wrap, and keeping aisles clear of debris to maintain a safe work environment.

• Conducting pre-shift safety checks on machinery (forklifts, pallet jacks) and reporting defects.

• Adhering to OSHA regulations, using proper lifting techniques, and wearing appropriate PPE (steel-toe boots, high-visibility vests).

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time
• working up to 40 hrs of overtime per week
