As a Dietary Aide in this role, you will support the Patient Food Services area and ensure the patients have clean dishes to eat off of, so they can heal and return home. A caregiver in this position works evenings from 3:00PM – 8:30PM, including every other weekend. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Perform a variety of duties to ensure proper distribution of prepared foods to patients, cafeteria guests and catered events. Accurately set up and deliver patient trays and nourishments. Distribute correct portions of food and beverage items. Demonstrate working knowledge of specific therapeutic diets. Follow department standards and procedures. Utilize and rotate food products, appropriately store leftovers and label and date food items. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: High School Diploma or GED Six months of experience in food service Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Knowledge on equipment operations Basic cooking skills Ohio Food Safety certification Physical Requirements: Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. Ability to reach with hands and arms. Ability to talk and hear. Frequently required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Close, distance, color, peripheral, depth vision and the ability to adjust focus also required. Personal Protective Equipment: Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Pay Range Minimum hourly: $15.00 Maximum hourly: $18.44 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education.
