\n \nRole Description The Associate Attorney for MD & VA is a full-time remote role responsible for handling variety of legal areas, with a primary focus on Maryland and Virginia jurisdictions in support of legal services department. Day-to-day responsibilities include telephone consultation, conducting document review and legal research; providing legal options; and meeting compliance deadlines. The role requires exceptional customer service and soft skills.

- Compassionate and engaged approach to legal consultations. \n
- Strong foundation in law, with the ability to analyze situations, case law, and regulations and apply them to client matters. \n
- Experience in direct client interaction and communication. \n
- Ability to provide clear, practical legal advice to clients, translating complex legal concepts into actionable guidance. \n
- Proficient Research skills, including use of legal research platforms and effective fact-gathering. \n
- Effective negotiation skills for resolving disputes, drafting demand letters, and advocating for clients’ interests. \n
- Active license to practice law in Maryland OR Virginia, in good standing. \n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and organization. \n
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with a distributed legal team. \n
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; prior experience preferred. \n
- Compassionate approach to all areas of law and client needs. \n
