Roadway Design Engineer - PE

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Job Summary: Our client, a growing civil engineering firm, is seeking a Roadway Design Engineer to join their Transportation team. In this role, you will play a key part in the planning, design, and construction of roadway infrastructure projects that improve communities across Oklahoma.

Responsibilities:

Lead roadway design and infrastructure projects from concept through construction
Prepare and modify engineering reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, and design documents
Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design software to develop roadway plans and supporting documentation
Serve as the on-site project representative and conduct construction site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with contract documents
Develop project schedules and coordinate project timelines
Supervise, mentor, and support junior engineers and technical staff
Collaborate with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
Maintain compliance with applicable transportation regulations, design standards, and engineering best practices

Education and Certifications:

Oklahoma Professional Engineer (PE) license required
Minimum 5 years of roadway engineering experience
At least 2 years of project management experience
Proficiency with roadway design software, including MicroStation, InRoads, OpenRoads, and Civil 3D
Knowledge of Oklahoma transportation regulations and design standards
Familiarity with AASHTO Green Book and MUTCD
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines
Preferred: enjoys multidisciplinary collaboration and client relationship building, self-motivated, demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience
