The expected base rate for this role is between $18.18 and $30.30. The starting pay is $23/hr. This role will also receive overtime compensation. To review available benefits, please click here: Foods is one of the largest food distributors with a culture and history of promoting from within, excellent training programs and a continuous improvement focus.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*** Ensure optimal warehouse and transportation operations by preparing and processing routine forms, reports, and documents (inbound documents, discrepancy reports, stock and damage claims, time sheets, requisitions, DVIR’s, shipping labels, backhaul spreadsheets, delivery window dispatch, driver key log, transportation route update, etc.) following standard procedures.* Communicate with internal and external customers to support staff and customer needs. Respond to general inquiries and telephone calls.* Verify information and data to ensure market compliance with regulations and procedures.* Collect, track, and input data on relevant operations metrics to support tracking warehouse and transportation performance (including shorts, mispicks, dump/damage, service level, associate over-time, trailer temp log etc.).* Create and maintain basic charts, graphs, spreadsheets and databases to prepare for manager’s review.* Monitor inventory level of office supplies and initiate purchase orders.* Other duties as assigned by manager.**SUPERVISION**:* N/A**RELATIONSHIPS*** **Internal:** Operations manager and staff, purchasing department* **External:** N/A**WORK ENVIRONMENT*** The work will take place at a desk in a US Foods office-based environment but may occasionally require work in normal warehouse environments including cooler and freezer areas where temperatures may be as low as -5 degrees.**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**Related Experience/Requirements:* Minimum of two years of clerical experience required.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:* Effective communication both verbally and in writing.* Excellent telephone and customer service ability.* Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.* Basic computer skills with a good knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.* Problem solving and critical thinking abilities to solve problems of limited scope.* Perform cross-functional activities, and work on a varying schedule.* Strong teamwork skills with the ability to support others in the department and division.Education* High school diploma or GED/equivalent required.**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS*** Preferred experience in a distribution business environment.* Knowledge of DOT Hours of Service Regulations.* Knowledge of our geographic delivery area.Certifications/Training* Preferred experience in the following areas: SAE, Truck Builder, Red Prairie, Kronos, Road Net, XATA, Shopfax, Tandem, PowerDock, Checkpoint, Omnitracs, Airclic, equipment inventories, and warranties.**PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS*** Must be able to perform the following physical activities for described length of time:OCCASIONALLY: 1% - 33 / FREQUENTLY: 34% - 66% / CONTINUOUSLY: 67% - 100% or NEVER**JOB REQUIRES WORKER TO:****FREQUENCY:**STAND: OCCASIONALLYWALK: OCCASIONALLYDRIVE VEHICLE: N/ASIT: CONTINUOUSLYLIFT1-10 lbs (Sedentary): OCCASIONALLY11-20 lbs (Light): OCCASIONALLY21-50 lbs (Medium): OCCASIONALLY51-100 lbs (Heavy): OCCASIONALLYOver 100 lbs (Very Heavy): N/ACARRY1-10 lbs (Sedentary): OCCASIONALLY11-20 lbs (Light): OCCASIONALLY21-50 lbs (Medium): OCCASIONALLY51-100 lbs (Heavy): N/AOver 100 lbs (Very Heavy): N/APUSH/PULL\*1: OCCASIONALLYCLIMB/BALANCE\*2: OCCASIONALLYSTOOP/SQUAT: OCCASIONALLYKNEEL: OCCASIONALLYBEND: OCCASIONALLYREACH ABOVE SHOULDER: FREQUENTLYTWIST: OCCASIONALLYGRASP OBJECTS\*3: FREQUENTLYMANIPULATE OBJECTS\*4: OCCASIONALLYMANUAL DEXTERITY\*5: OCCASIONALLY1 (Push/Pull: Hand truck, gate, straps, metal ramp, truck door, dolly, boxes, truck gear shift)2 (Climb/Balance: In/Out Truck/Trailer to cab.
