Apply today!Job DescriptionThe Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) is responsible for overseeing industrial hygiene programs to anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and control occupational health hazards. This role provides technical expertise to ensure contractor activities comply with applicable industrial hygiene standards, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations, with a focus on protecting worker health and maintaining a safe work environment.Key Responsibilities:• Oversee and verify that contractor work activities comply with applicable industrial hygiene regulations, standards, and contract requirements (e.g., exposure limits, monitoring requirements, respiratory protection, hazard communication). • Conduct on-site industrial hygiene assessments and inspections, including observation of work practices, controls, and use of personal protective equipment. • Review and evaluate industrial hygiene records and documentation (e.g., sampling data, equipment calibration records, ventilation and control system performance, medical surveillance interfaces) for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. • Identify industrial hygiene hazards and nonconformances; recommend and help implement engineering, administrative, and PPE controls to reduce exposures and improve worker protection. • Coordinate and collaborate with contractors, safety and health staff, and other internal stakeholders to develop and maintain industrial hygiene procedures, work plans, and corrective actions. • Support incident/near-miss evaluations from an industrial hygiene perspective and participate in root-cause and corrective action development as needed.Work Schedule:• Standard schedule is Monday through Thursday, 10 hours per day. • May require additional hours, alternate shifts, or schedule adjustments to align with contractor work activities and monitoring needs (e.g., night work, high-exposure tasks, or special projects).Required Combination of Knowledge and SkillBachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience; or Masters degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience; or Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; or Currently an Principal Reactor Training Engineer, Refueling Engineer, or Field (RPCO) Engineer at the Company.Preferred SkillsCompensation and BenefitsHealth, Dental, Vision & Voluntary BenefitsDisability, Life & Accident Insurance401(k) Savings program & Capital Accumulation PlanPersonal & Medical Time OffPaid Parental LeaveFlexible Work SchedulesTuition Assistance for Eligible EmployeesStudent Debt Benefit Personal Time Off Sell ProgramEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Wellness ProgramVisit us online to view all NNL benefits!Pay Range$106,200.00 - $166,000.00 annually Salary information provided is a general guideline only.
