Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Hourly Wage Estimate: $36.50 - $55.25 / hour Full‑time, three 12‑hour shifts per week. Expected shift: 3 pm – 3 am. Job Summary As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room, you will coordinate and deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in accordance with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, you will provide individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” You will act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, and model a commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes. Responsibilities Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management, including post‑intervention reassessments. Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Document the administration of care in the patient medical record promptly and thoroughly. Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipate patient needs, and resolve them proactively. Teach patients/families/caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow‑up measures. Translate complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding. Teach non‑medicinal follow‑up measures such as healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes. Prepare patients and families/caregivers for future self‑management. Qualifications Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate RN license. Current AHA or ARCBCL‑S, AHA or ARCACLS, PALS, and TNCC required. Current Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NVCRISIS) required. 30‑day grace period from hire date for BCLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NVCRISIS. ENPC preferred. Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN desirable. 1 to 2 years of acute care experience. ED and/or other critical care/specialty nursing experience strongly preferred.
