Medical Assistant
We are seeking a Medical Assistant to provide both clinical and administrative support in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vital signs, assisting physicians with examinations and procedures, performing phlebotomy and EKGs, collecting and processing specimens, maintaining medical records, managing patient scheduling, verifying insurance information, and ensuring exam rooms are properly stocked and sterilized. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA guidelines, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Completion of an approved Medical Assistant program
- Medical Assistant Certificate
- BLS Certification (AHA) Required
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred
- Proficiency with EMR systems and basic computer skills preferred.
