Clinical Pharmacist II Acute Care The Clinical Pharmacist II Acute Care routinely performs clinical support in addition to preparing and dispensing prescribed medications to patients in the acute care and/or Hospital at Home program settings. This role is accountable for the maintenance of all aspects of medication administration, including the efficiency and effectiveness of medication therapeutics and dispensing, evaluation of appropriateness of drug utilization, nursing support for patient and staff education, and supervision of pharmacy technicians. Essential Job Functions Interprets and follows physician instructions to deliver the correct care to the correct patient. Oversees and verifies prescription order entry, packaging and dispensing. Provides and monitors pharmacy‑driven protocols, drug utilization and medication‑related information to healthcare professionals, patients and the public. Supervises pharmacy technicians. Precepts students. Collaborates with healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses, to optimize medication therapy and ensure patient safety. Performs other duties as required or assigned. Education Doctor of Pharmacy or BS Pharmacy. Experience 3 years. Licensure/Certification/Listing Registered Pharmacist in NC within 60 days of hire. BLS (CPR) – American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider. Work Shift: Days/Weekend Rotation (United States of America) On Call Required: No
