You'll partner with hiring managers to recruit and onboard exceptional talent, guide leaders through complex employee relations matters, collaborate with the City Attorney on compliance and workplace concerns, oversee compensation programs and annual pay plans, manage benefits and retirement offerings, supervise HR staff, develop departmental budgets and priorities, and ensure policies remain aligned with ever-changing regulations. Throughout the day, you'll balance the people side of the organization with the operational side by directing risk management programs involving workers' compensation, safety, liability, and loss prevention while also preparing reports, presentations, budget forecasts, and recommendations for leadership and City Council.
