RN School Nurse, Full-Time (Union)

RN SCHOOL NURSE, FULL-TIME (UNION)

POSITION: RN School Nurse, Full-Time (Union) Smith Middle School

WAGES: $62,723 75,078, depending on experience

SCHEDULE: 183 Days per year; 7.5 Hours per day

QUALIFICATIONS:

RN licensed by the State of Connecticut
CPR/AED certified
One year work experience within last five years, at a minimum
Preference given to experience in school nursing, pediatrics or emergency room care
Confidence in medical procedures and diabetic management
Experienced with electronic documentation and Google programs

DUTIES:

Support the district nurses within the schools
Provides emergency care for students and staff
Assist in the daily nursing management of assigned health office.
Administer prescribed medications.
Document the nursing process.
Assist with state mandated screenings.
Assist with the maintenance of mandated physical exam and immunization documentation.
Being flexible regarding schedule to provide substitute nursing coverage when needed within the district
