Salary: $71,339-$89,173

Sun Link is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Safety, Security and Training Manager to oversee the agency’s safety, security and training programs. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations including FTA, TSA, ADOT and OSHA. The manager plays a critical role in maintaining a safe operating environment through program development, regulatory oversight, workforce training and emergency preparedness. This position requires strong leadership, operational knowledge and the ability to respond to incidents as needed, including 24/7 on-call availability.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or equivalent experience, along with a minimum of five years of experience in rail safety and security, including at least three years in a supervisory role. A valid driver’s license and Public Transportation Safety Certification Training Program (PTSCTP) certification are required or have the ability to obtain.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Oversee and enforce compliance with all safety and security regulations and coordinate with oversight agencies

· Manage corrective action plans, safety certifications and the Drug and Alcohol Program

· Develop, implement and maintain safety and security programs including PTASP and SMS

· Conduct audits, risk assessments, and lead incident investigations

· Lead emergency preparedness efforts and respond to incidents as required

· Develop and oversee employee training programs, including onboarding, refresher and emergency training

· Manage and maintain the learning management system (LMS)

· Supervise safety and training staff and support performance management

· Collaborate with internal departments and external partners on safety, security, and training initiatives

· Support strategic planning, continuous improvement efforts and risk mitigation activities
