Role Summary The People Operations Specialist supports Parry's people systems through employee relations, payroll oversight, compliance support, benefits administration, retention initiatives, and HR operations.
This role partners closely with the CFO, Operations leaders, and restaurant management teams to help ensure employees are supported, policies are applied consistently, and people-related processes are administered effectively across the organization.
The ideal candidate combines strong relationship-building skills, sound judgement, attention to detail, and a desire to grow within a people-focused leadership role. Candidates may come from restaurant operations, human resources, payroll support, or other leadership positions that demonstrate strong people skills and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities Payroll Oversight & Compliance
- Support payroll validation efforts to help ensure payroll accuracy and compliance. Maintain working knowledge of payroll processes, wage and hour requirements, and payroll-related policies.
- Assist with payroll audits, reporting, and year-end activities.
- Support administration of garnishments, child support orders, and related correspondence.
- Partner with payroll administration and Finance on payroll-related matters.
- Serve as a payroll backup resource when needed.
- Partner with the Operations leadership to support employee relations matters.
- Assist with employee investigations and documentation.
- Track employee concerns, workplace issues, and resolutions.
- Support leaders with policy interpretation and employee-related questions.
- Assist with corrective action documentation and employee communications.
- Promote consistent application of company policies and practices.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in sensitive situations.
- Oversee administration of employee health and welfare benefits.
- Support employee enrollment, qualifying life events, and benefits changes.
- Assist with retirement plan administration, including 401(k) programs and deductions.
- Coordinate annual open enrollment activities.
- Serve as a resource for employee benefits questions and education.
- Maintain relationships with benefits vendors and partners.
- Monitor employee retention trends and turnover metrics.
- Maintain retention-related reporting and workforce data.
- Support employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Partner with Operations leadership to identify opportunities to improve employee experience and retention.
- Maintain employee records and HR systems.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Assist with unemployment claims, employment verifications, labor notices, and compliance documentation.
- Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
- Support policy updates, employee communications, and process improvements.
- Assist with audits and reporting requirements as needed.
Required
- 2-5 years of leadership, human resources, payroll support, employee relations, or restaurant management experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Strong organizational and follow-through skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business systems.
- Experience in restaurant, hospitality, retail, or multi-unit operations.
- Exposure to payroll, benefits administration, or HR processes.
- ADP Workforce Now experience.
- Experience leading teams or managing employee-related matters.
