Psychiatric Nurse

Provide specialized psychiatric nursing care to patients with mental health needs in a behavioral health setting. Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while adhering to clinical policies and safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor behavioral health patients to identify their needs and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to facilitate patient recovery and discharge planning.
• Document patient interactions, interventions, and progress accurately within the EMR system.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies, providing crisis intervention when needed.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with at least 2 years of current behavioral health experience.
• Certified in BLS and CPI or Calm Every Storm Certification.
• Demonstrate strong inpatient behavioral health experience and proficiency in managing acute mental health conditions.
• Possess excellent communication and compassionate skills, adaptable to a team environment.
• Willing to handle variable patient acuity with flexibility and professionalism.
