Radiology Registered NurseWe are looking for a professional and compassionate RN with excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Staff are responsible for collaborating with physicians and nurses to facilitate excellent patient care. We provide flexible schedules, cross-training, minimal on-call shifts, and holiday rotations.Essential duties include performing all nursing responsibilities and duties required by the unit specific to the scope of service. Implement procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice by following department policies and procedures. Complete initial assessments upon patient admission and develop appropriate plans of care based on patient and family needs. Implement plans of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures. Modify plans of care based on continuous evaluation. Manage the care of patients during moderate sedation and Phase I/II anesthesia recovery. Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation of care provided to ensure integration of information for the healthcare team. Recognize and respond to any adverse or allergic reactions and changes in patient status that require nursing assistance. Review cases with the physician when appropriate. Take responsibility for patient, visitor, employee, and environmental safety. Report and correct safety events immediately, including those that are near misses. Maintain equipment and workplace environment, including supply inventories and orderliness of work area. Recognize malfunctions and service needs and report them in a timely manner. Assist in the instruction of students and new staff as necessary. May perform duties of Charge RN/Supervisor or Imaging Coordinator in their absence. Communicate directly and privately when necessary to resolve issues. Offer constructive feedback to assist in the professional development of peers and confer with colleagues to expand knowledge. Identify personal learning needs and take initiative to find solutions. Participate in QA/QC programs. Direct personnel in maintaining standards set by accrediting bodies, licensure, and safety guidelines. Aid in the annual review and periodic updates of department policies and protocols. Serve as a technical resource/subject matter expert for staff and management.
