Retail Service Specialist

Overview The Retail Service Specialist supports the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations. The role also assumes shift management responsibilities in the absence of higher‑level management. Bilingual candidates, especially Spanish, are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers. Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, ensuring team members execute on customer service programs such as Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc. Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy. Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner, contacting customers upon shipment arrivals as needed. Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure, using the electronic outside purchase order ledger. Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and friendly, issue refunds accurately, and stage returned merchandise correctly in the returns area. Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store. Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned. Ensure team members adhere to posted work schedules, approve changes or deviations, and clock in/out per company policy. Perform all store opening/closing duties: day‑end procedures, verify/securing money and deposits, prepare bank deposits, ensure night security lights are on, lock doors, arm/disarm security alarms, and lock delivery vehicles. Carry out any additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Strong communication skills. Ability to obtain RSS Certification. Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts. Automotive systems and repair knowledge. ASE Certification. Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired). Compensation and Benefits Compensation Pay Range: $12.77 – $18.40 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums that may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
