Your Treatment Has an Immediate Test: Does It Work in Real Life?

You'll work one-on-one with patients on the activities they actually need to perform between visits.

That could mean helping someone:

• Get dressed without relying on their spouse
  
• Safely complete bathing and grooming tasks
  
• Improve upper-extremity strength and coordination
  
• Prepare a simple meal
  
• Use adaptive equipment correctly
  
• Develop safer strategies for everyday routines
  
• Improve fine motor skills
  
• Conserve energy during daily activities
  
• Adapt after a neurological event or physical decline
  
• Regain confidence completing activities independently
  

You don't have to recreate the patient's daily environment.

You're already standing in it.

What You'll Do

Working under the direction of the supervising Occupational Therapist, you'll:

• Provide one-on-one Occupational Therapy treatments in patients' homes
  
• Carry out individualized treatment plans established by the OT
  
• Address activities of daily living and functional routines
  
• Provide therapeutic activities and exercises
  
• Work on upper-extremity function, coordination, and functional mobility
  
• Reinforce home exercise programs
  
• Teach adaptive techniques and compensatory strategies
  
• Educate patients and caregivers on safety
  
• Reinforce appropriate use of adaptive equipment
  
• Monitor patient response and progress
  
• Identify changes and communicate them to the supervising Occupational Therapist
  
• Collaborate with PT, nursing, SLP, physicians, and other interdisciplinary clinicians
  
• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation

What We're Looking For

• Active Minnesota Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license
  
• Strong understanding of ADLs and functional rehabilitation
  
• Excellent patient and caregiver communication
  
• Creative problem-solving skills
  
• Ability to independently manage a field-based schedule
  
• Confidence providing one-on-one care in patients' homes
  
• Strong collaboration with supervising Occupational Therapists
  
• Ability to recognize and communicate changes in patient status
  
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
