gpac, a highly reputable recruitment company with over 30 years of experience, is partnered with a well-established company in the small business broker industry. We are currently seeking a motivated and banking experienced Relationship Manager to join our client's team.


If I lived there, I would want to interview for this role. Remote clients, from on-site office. This role is more Project/Process management, heavy problem solving and personality management (dealing with sellers, buyers, lenders, accountants, attorneys).

Our client is a smaller business broker company that brings buyers and sellers of privately held businesses together. With a tight-knit team-run approach, they pride themselves on maintaining a family-like atmosphere. They have a proven track record of success and are recession-resistant, making them a reliable and stable employer. At this time, the hole they need to fill is someone from a banking background who is used to reading financial statements, following due-diligence procedures to reduce risk and verify claims, working with paperwork to close the deal.

As a Relationship Manager with our client, you will have the opportunity to work within a supportive and trustworthy team. Moreover, this position offers a competitive salary with a base of $50-70,000 and bonuses ranging from $130,000 to $250,000 and more, providing potential for significant financial rewards. Yes, you have to be able to live on a "stipend" for the year until the bonuses are doled out, but your engagement for the team's success rewards your patience with a wonderful windfall.



Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and prospects
- Conduct thorough financial and lien due diligence to assess the viability of potential business transactions
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and ongoing support
- Proactively identify and pursue business development opportunities
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and industry developments



Essential Job Functions:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements
- Demonstrated experience in banking, preferably within a relationship or portfolio management role
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Strong drive for success and goal attainment


Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain relationships for the team, within the team, and with the, often long run business owners and buyers.
- Ability to prioritize timelines
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Proactive and self-motivated
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
