Biomedical Equipment Technician 3

GE HealthCare seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician 3 to service and maintain complex medical equipment at customer facilities in the Myrtle Beach, SC area. The role involves equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, customer relations, and potential team leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and repair complex biomedical equipment; perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections
• Communicate proactively with customers regarding issue resolution and follow-up to ensure satisfaction
• Lead and mentor technicians on repairs; delegate tasks and perform administrative duties for assigned service area
• Document repairs and submit reports; maintain spare parts inventory and tool calibration
• Potentially serve as site leader directing activities, engaging customer leadership, and participating in safety committees

Requirements

• Proficiency with electronic documentation tools and Microsoft Office
• Experience building and maintaining customer relations across all organizational levels
• Strong communication skills translating technical issues to non-technical audiences
• Independent and collaborative problem-solving abilities
• Valid driver's license and U.S. work authorization
• Availability for after-hours and rotating on-call schedules including weekends
